Sonos Move: Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Sonos, known for their smart speakers, have now launched a portable speaker, the Sonos Move. It’s the first Sonos speaker which is Bluetooth enable to stream music while you are out. With just one click of a button, the speaker can be switched to Bluetooth mode. It can connect to your smartphone or tablet and you can have some amazing sounds blast out of this speaker. This speaker also features Auto Trueplay, which automatically tunes itself to sound better depending on its surroundings. The speaker’s sound changes as it is moved from one place to another by using its microphones. Previous Sonos Speakers required set up of TrueTone which involved walking around the room with a phone. The Sonos Move also has integrated Google Play and Amazon Alexa, so you can play music, get news and weather updates, and much more over a WiFi connection.

The Sonos Move has IP56 protection which makes it waterproof, dust-proof, and drop resistant. This portable speaker can also give you 10 hours of music streaming on one charge. It can be charged via the charging dock. It also has a USB Type-C port at the back of the speaker which allows for a quick charge if you don’t have your dock with you. The battery is also removable and the company says it can be replaced after a few years.

The Sonos Move speaker stands 10 inches tall and weighs about 6 pounds. It also has a carry handle for you to move around from room to room or take it with you on an adventure. This rugged and durable speaker can be pre-ordered on sonos.com for $399.
