Revolights Skyline Bicycle Lighting System is a highlight that projects forward in front and smart brake at the back, and it blinks when you slow down to indicate traffic. The main goal of the lights is to increase visibility while you ride your bike, hence makes it safer, especially at night as it reduces the chances of being hit by a vehicle.
The intelligent LED rings are mounted onto the spokes and are spaced apart so that light is projected past the tire, illuminates the path in front of you hence create a legal headlight. The brake light will flash red at a fast rate once a change of speed is detected, and this informs traffic behind you that you are decreasing speed. The lights mounted on the headlight and taillight can be seen from 360degrees as they create bright visual “arcs” and increases visibility from all angles as you approach it. They create a visual boundary for traffic to define the direction of travel.
Revolights are made of Zytel 101; hence, they are robust and can withstand all weather conditions that a cyclist will encounter even wet road conditions. It is also made with unibody construction which makes it theft resistant because when you lock up your wheels and bike, you automatically lock up your lights. They are mounted to four spokes per wheel and have ball and socket style brackets which are made for an efficient installation process.
The lights are compatible with tires that have a depth under 42mm and width under 38mm and a Chain stay clearance of 38mm. Most road and hybrid bikes with 700c or vintage 27-inch wheels with well-spaced spoke pattern in multiple of four are compatible with Revolights Skyline. It is powered by two Lithium-Ion batteries that are micro-USB rechargeable, and they can last up to 4 hours. You can remove the batteries easily and charge by the use of any standard USB- outlet.
Men’s Journal Magazine voted it as ‘The best bike lighting system in the world” for being a unique bicycle light up the system. It has a turn signal function feature that is controlled by an app; through gesture recognition or dedicated handlebar- mounted remotely with a supported smart watch.
