Although my wife is in her late 20’s, she still happens to be scared of the dark and I’ve had to walk her to the washroom only feet away from our bedroom in the middle of the night on a couple of occasions. I’m not frugal by any means but I do not like the idea of wasting electricity overnight by keeping the bathroom light on or even a night light. The next best option I came across is the Listello Flat Tile that glow in the dark!

I love water and it happens to be my favorite drink…followed by Pepsi. I try my best to save water where I can and the best method I’ve found so far for showers is to rinse the body to get it wet and then turning off the shower while shampooing and soaping the body. I’ve never calculated how much that saves but I’m certain it’s a significant amount. Of course there are some days when I feel cold and I just stand under the hot water for extended periods of time but not without feeling guilty about it. The Nebia Shower is currently being funded on Kickstarter and is making a big splash.

Fire is a beautiful thing. Not only is it great to look at but it can help life thrive but it can also be deadly. One of my favorite things to do is to sit in front of a fire pit and watch the wood logs burn on a cold night and listen to the crackling sounds. If you haven’t been camping and sat in front of a fire pit, I would highly recommend it. This year has not been good for camping in our neck of the woods due to a drought and there is a campfire ban in place until further notice. Thankfully the campsites had propane fire pits for rent as an alternate option.

We all want a nice looking front and backyard for our homes but sometimes time is limited and we can’t maintain it to the standards we want. When I drive around town, I actually enjoy looking at homes and the unique yards. I live in an condominium on the 1st floor so I don’t have much of a yard but I do have a tiny bit of backyard space with a nice patio, a small grass area, and a bunch of bushes and flowers.
