DJI is one of the world’s leading names when it comes to drones. They offer quality and new features at competitive prices, while also providing user-friendly interfaces for newer drone owners. One of their drones can be looked at as a great starter drone, costing less than $100 to own.
Say Hello to the Ryze Tech Tello
The Ryze Tech Tello is a fantastically well-done drone with basic features and low price. Weirdly enough however, DJI does not seem to attach its name on this particular drone. DJI usually proudly inserts its name on its prized drones, such as the DJI Mavic series. For the Ryze Tech Tello however, DJI’s brand is nowhere to be found. At face value, you would not even consider the possibility that DJI is the one behind this creation.
Why is that the case? Could it be that the Tech Tello did not meet the standards set by its more popular and more expensive DJI cousins?
A Closer Look
The Ryze Tech Tello is a lightweight (less than a kilogram) drone made of plastic parts. Its safety points go up with plastic guards protecting the outside world from its spinning rotors. Another user-friendly feature is in the software. One can easily learn the move set and controls using mobile phones and an app. For the most part flying is standard, which is great for those just wanting to learn the basics to start with.
It also has a 720p camera capable of capturing images and video. Not enough for more serious photography work, but decent enough for those wanting to take simple selfies or casual nature shots while they are out hiking.
