Intel’s Celeron 1.7GHz reviewed at TR

A lot of people can be suckered into buying a new computer system strictly based on advertised clock speed, with the assumption that the number is bigger, it MUST be faster than everything else.  But in recent years we’ve seen that clock speed isn’t everything, take the AMD Athlon’s for example.  Today Tech Report has a look at the Intel Celeron 1.7GHz processor, and sees how Intel has taken it’s flagship Pentium 4 and turned it into a value processor, and that you shouldn’t always believe that bigger numbers isn’t always better performance.
