There is only one fear that is common to every single person, and that is losing someone you love. But now you don’t have to worry anymore because there is Findster Kids. Findster Kids is an app that lets you find your loved ones through our Android or iOS phone. Parents who use it are assured of a peaceful mind as they will never lose their kids again. It uses live GPS monitoring to connect you with your loved ones, and you’re able to know their location in real time and be able to receive alerts if they leave the areas that you left them. You can be able to revisit any former location because it keeps a history of the last place the person was. It will then keep on searching for the lost child, and when found, it sends its current location to the parents’ smartphone app.
There are two main devices available, i.e. one for you and the other for your loved one. They are connected to each other wirelessly, and they work through the Findster App on your smartphone. The wireless protocol will allow you to communicate within a range of 0.62 miles (1km) between the two modules hence; you won’t need to send the coordinates through your phone. Findster is only payable once, and you get to use it forever without any contract or monthly fees.
The Findster package comprises of the parent/guardian module, child or pet module, smartphone app, portable charger and a Basestation which is optional. The Findster Base Station enables you to expand your connection area of approximately 2 km and be able to protect your loved ones even when you are far away. You can place the Basestations in school playground so as to increase the protected area and by doing this, you become more omnipresent. It uses Wi-Fi connection, hence when the child leaves a secure zone and approaches another Basestation; it will be automatically reconnected. The more Basestations are used, the safer the area is.
It has a 3-axis accelerometer which detects when the child stumbles and falls and even records the child’s activity levels throughout the day when they are playing. You can create fences and routes that your child should use, and it will alert you immediately they have passed the secured area. It also monitors how long your child takes from one area to another, such as from school to home.
When Findsters’ battery is almost over, it will notify you through push message so that it is charged on time. If used on elderly people, it will send a notification to the panic button and alert caregivers in emergency cases. It weighs about 50grams so easy to carry, waterproof and shock resistant.
