Australia Farming Drone May Be The Future of Weed Control

Instead of opting for the usual crop dusters or farmhands, farms worldwide are now utilizing drones. With the rise of drone use the past few years, coupled with decreasing prices and increasing versatility, it is no surprise that farmers are making the jump. These drones, if equipped with the right tools, can provide coverage for entire farms with ease. Another thing to consider is efficiency and time management. A flying drone can survey the fields faster than any farmer on foot can.

From propagating seeds to simply monitoring the boundaries, drones offer productivity and efficiency unmatched by its predecessors.

DroneAgriculture the wave of the Future:

A farming drone turned some heads recently at the 2018 Beef Australia convention. But this is no recreational drone, mind you. This is a drone that was created to do the job on the farm.

The DroneAgriculture is a massive octocopter drone that boasts being able to carry up to 20 kilograms of load. While it can carry a good deal of cargo, it is not only a delivery drone. It carries an aerial dispersal unit for herbicides. This drone can then fly around the fields killing weed at a very efficient pace. This makes it possible for herbicides to spread evenly on fields. Not only that, hard to reach areas and tight spaces will also no longer be a problem.

The drone has GPS capabilities, while also having programs that can plot the fields. This means you can simply input data, and the drone will do the rest on a schedule. This frees up the manpower from this herbicide task, while also ensuring consistency and time management.

The possibilities for extending this drone’s reach are endless. Farms worldwide face yearlong problems outside of wild weeds. Rat infestations, for example, may lessen thanks to the DroneAgriculture system. Insect endemics, plant problems, and all sorts of farming roadblocks may soon be a thing of the past thanks to this creation.

Precision and efficiency is the name of the game, and it seems like the DroneAgriculture may take the cake on his one.
