The BW-Space concept is from the minds of a Chinese startup called Youcan Robot. The drone is still in its early stages, with a Kickstarter being the primary source of funding. But based on what Youcan Robot can tell us, the drone is going to be amazing.

The BW-Space drone does exactly what a sky camera drone does. It tracks a target, and follows it underwater while recording footage. Imagine those Animal Planet shows where the hosts go underwater to interact with the marine life. But this time, a drone follows the target around, not a cameraman.

The drone can go to depths beyond 300 feet. It can withstand pressure while still being able to swim to any direction. It can also become a light source that can illuminate the depths. This makes video recording underwater much easier. At the end of the day, you also get better quality footage, with the steady cam (even against harsh water movement) and lighting. The lighting is brilliant because the drone can detect the brightness levels underwater and adjusts automatically.

The technology really allows the swimmer or diver to ignore the camera while doing something. The drone is capable of making different decisions on its own, as well as making sure they get the shot you want.
