In London, a massive drone system may soon take over deliveries. The network will connect 34 London hospitals, receiving access to drone services. Here, items like blood, medicine, and even organs will be delivered. This would be a massive improvement to the usual delivery method, which is land transportation. Drones negate the main problem with land vehicles: traffic jams. Traffic is a main problem for delivery, especially in high density areas like inner cities. With drones, you get your items on time – all the time.
This system will connect 34 different medical facilities, meaning one can transfer to another in no time. Similar delivery systems are currently tested in other countries. They, however, tend to focus more on delivering from cities to rural clinics. But like the one in London, these systems are still in their experimental stages. It may take a while to fix out all the bugs and errors that may come along the way. But hey, it’s a nice start, don’t you think?
