Confessions of a Clumsy Smartphone Owner

Have you ever dropped your phone in the toilet? I have. I’ve also dropped it out the window of a moving car while trying to get a cool shot of one of my favorite parks as we zoomed past it. Then there was the time I knocked a beer over on it before having it fall out of my pocket as I was biking along at top speed and, well, you get the picture. My phone takes a lot of abuse.

After one of the early incidents resulted in my having to fork over the cash for a new phone, I decided that it was worth it to invest in a high-quality phone case. My iPhone hasn’t been without one since.

I’ve found that shopping in person for iPhone 7 covers Australia leaves a lot to be desired. Among all of the cases for the various models of phones, selection is often limited. That’s why I opt to buy my phone cases online from Case Haven.

My latest case, for example, is the Lifeproof Fre. It’s waterproof, dirt-proof, drop-proof, and just about everything else you can imagine-proof. This case has taken an absolute beating since I’ve owned it and has done an admirable job of keeping my phone as good as new. Case Haven carries Lifeproof cases for much cheaper than my local brick-and-mortar store, too, so I’m happy to have scored a deal.

Although I need something more durable on my phone (as not all cases can handle a drop into the crapper), Case Haven has a huge selection of other cases that range from light and attractive to sleek and professional.

If I didn’t so badly need the waterproof protection on mine, for instance, I’d likely opt for something like the Leather Wallet iPhone 7 case that doubles as a flip case and a 2-card wallet that folds shut. When I’m not zipping around, dropping my phone in unexpected places, I work a job that has me in a shirt and tie five days a week and this phone case would really spiff up my look.

Also lacking the waterproofing, but another case that I really love is the INCIPIO Wallet case. This case features a faded, textured fabric accent on the back that covers a hidden compartment that opens to reveal your ID, credit cards, or whatever you’d like to stash inside.

If my clumsiness ever improves, I may try one of the other designs someday. For now, I’ll stick with my heavy-duty case. I think I just heard my phone breathe a sigh of relief.
