A simple idea that can go a long way in saving lives in the areas with sweltering summers and shortage of electricity. The system, if installed properly, can reduce the temperature by 5C°. It may not not seem much of cooling but it matters a lot where people actually endure extreme temperatures.

Here is a small, energy efficient fan for those warm and humid days. The fan can be used with any device with a USB port. Because the goose-neck construction, the fan airflow can be directed in any direction that you desire. The fan has multi-speed settings and promises to give you 250 hours of continuous service.

A couple of years back we reviewed a blade-less fan known as the Dyson Air Multiplier. The fan is designed to provide smoother airflow and does not have any exposed rotating blades, operating in a safer manner than conventional bladed fans. The fan draws a comparatively small volume of air through an inlet in the base pillar and forces a much larger volume through an outlet in the upper ring; thus, a small brushless impeller in the fan’s base can power a much larger air outlet without exposing any blades.

I am sure you have noticed the filthy black mold that accumulates at the bottom of the toothbrush cup because most often the brush is not shaken well enough before putting it back in the cup. The cup has to be cleaned periodically to keep it free of mold which is a highly toxic substance.

The most difficult part of doing laundry is dealing with it after the clothes have been washed and dried. FlipFold boards have been in the market for the last couple of years, but they still require a lot of work.

Bookmarks are used to keep your place in a book and to enable you to return to it with ease. They are made of a variety of materials and come in large number of designs and styles. Many are made of cardboard or heavy paper, ribbon, fabric, beads, plastic, vinyl, precious metals. I have even used a peacock feather as a bookmark.

Another cool use of a DSLR camera, this time it’s used as a piggy bank, created by the guys at Photojojo.  The DSLR Bank is extremely detailed; it was hard for me to tell a real camera apart from this DSLR piggy bank.
