Wallhub – Switch Plate Storage for Keys, Mail, and More

Every day, as you move through your home, you walk past light switches and outlets. It’s inevitable, homes just come with them, and for good reason. After all, having light is one of the most basic (and most awesome) perks of living in our modern age. But there’s a problem with light switches. Much like wrist watches of yesteryear, they’re a single function device, and we can’t have that, can we?

Well, light switches aren’t the first thing that springs to mind when trying to dream up better ways to use one’s space, but lo and behold, a fellow by the name of Justin Porcano has done just that with his latest creation, the Wallhub. In short, it’s a brand new style of switch plate that has slots for holding your mail and hooks for holding your keys. Check it out.

What’s all the Hubbub?

If you ask me, it’s a brilliant design. Light switches are often near entrances and exits, and what better place to store one’s keys and mail?

Even better, is that this thing is damn easy to install, and it’s also fairly modular. You can set it up just how you want for the type of stuff that you’ll be keeping on it. The key holding functionality alone seems worth the price of admission.

Not exactly my first choice in terms of color, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Personally, I think a crimson color would look rather striking against the white.

A wallhub would make a welcome addition to one of Steeline’s garages, you’d never be guilty of losing your keys again!

Where can i buy the Wallhub?

Well, the Kickstarter campaign has been successfully funded, and now you simply need to wait. After the round of Wallhubs for Kickstarter are sent out, Justin is going to start selling Wallhub directly on his website, which you can find right here. The prices aren’t final, but my guess is around $15 USD per switch plate. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
