Liquid Nanoclay by Desert Control – From Desert to Green

Deserts can be beautiful but they are harsh environments in which vegetation has difficulty getting a hold and flourishing. Sand is great for making glass and construction materials but if it was possible to farm in a sandy environment? Thanks to Liquid Nanoclay, it is possible to change dry sand to usable soil to grow vegetation in.

The Liquid Nanoclay (LNC) treatment uses a natural mixture of clay and water which is sprayed right over dry, sandy ground. There are no chemicals involved according to the company. The LNC creates a water-retaining network in the soil profile. By using this method, you get a system that is more water efficient than traditional irrigation methods. How efficient? Based on real world testing in Pakistan, Egypt, and China; the results have shown water retention anywhere between 50 to 65 percent! The result is a reduction in water usage, cost savings, more robust soil, and higher yields of fruits and vegetables.

All this creates an “organic network” which is perfect for plant growth. Once applied, it will last for five years before needing a re-spray. More details and videos are available over at the Desert Control website.
