Microsoft and LucasArts Xbox 360Microsoft and LucasArts have joined forces the force and have just unveiled a limited edition Xbox and Kinect bundle at Comic-con.  These guys know there are enough nerds and geeks in North America to make this work and you better believe people will be camping outside the doors of stores to be the first to purchase this.

The package will include a RD-D2 themed 320 GB Xbox 360 game console featuring sounds from the Star Wars films, a Kinect sensor in white, and a golden C-3PO themed Xbox 360 wireless controller. This nerdy package will also have a copy of “Kinect Adventures” as well as a copy of “Kincect Star Wars”. The Star Wars game for the Kinect will allow the gamer to experience what Jedi training is and how to use the Force all without any controllers or devices on hand. Read More →

Shattered Horizon in-game trailer online

[singlepic id=210 w=540 float=]

I must be living under a rock or something, because I wasn’t even aware that Futuremark (makers of the popular PC benchmarking suite) was in the games biz.  Futuremark studios has just released their first in-game trailer for their game, Shattered Horizon, which is an FPS set in space with full range of movement via space suit jet pack type dealios.  Check out the trailer for yourself… the graphics are amazing, & the possibilities for in-space fighting and movement definitely got me drooling.

Wii 4.2 System Update Breaks Homebrews

Wii 4.2 Update - Killing the homebrew channel

Nintendo has release system update version 4.2 for the Wii and it seems it’s purpose is to do nothing more than cripple homebrewed systems.  The update will remove the homebrew channel, as well as the most important couple of cIOS’ most homebrewed Wiis might have installed.  The guys over at WiiHacks are already talking about some quick fixes for those that accidentally upgraded their already hacked systems to 4.2, but buyers of new systems with the 4.2 update already installed may have to wait a short while before hacking up their new toy.
