Over the last few months we’ve brought you many cases and covers for your laptops and tablets that make those devices look better and stand you out from the crowd. The Undercover Secret Laptop Sleeve, on the other hand, is meant to do the exact opposite; it’s meant to make your laptop look like just a crappy crumbled envelope and not make it stand out.
Not only will the Undercover Secret Laptop Sleeve not draw any attention to your laptop but it will also act like a normal laptop bag. The sleeve comes with adjustable Velcro straps to hold your laptop securely in place and this should allow various sizes of laptops to fit nicely on the inside. The exterior is made out of tyvek for shock absorption and is splash proof, can be written on, and tear proof. The interior is lined with silk to keep your laptop from getting scratches and for easily sliding it in and out of the sleeve. Read More →
This video demonstrates a new orientation feature in Firefox 3.6. Right now it’s only supported on some new Macs and Thinkpads that have the hardware and drivers to expose the information.
I’m sure it won’t be long before other systems with Accelerometers, like HP laptops with “ProtectSmart”, will get some support.
Dell teasing us with some profile images of the Adamo XPS. Although we can’t really see much of the laptop, we sure can tell it’s thin! 9.99mm thin to be exact.
I’m going to ponder a guess that this is the Adamo XPS flipped screen side down.

AMD has launched its next generation mobile computing platform, previously code-named Tigris. They’re claiming higher performance as well as longer battery life with the new kit, of course. AMD’s apparently no longer going to be using specific processor badges on Tigris-powered laptops, either. The Vision branding will initially include three tiers: regular, premium, & ultimate; differentiated by performance.
In need of a new laptop, I set out on a mission to try and find the most bang for under $800, and thanks to a nice $500 coupon, I managed to get this $1299 HP HDX16 Premium Series laptop for $799. My first impression? Well, I’m impressed. Great display, an nVIDIA GeForce GT 130M with a gig of ram, 500gb 7200RPM drive, and 4gb of RAM… So far it’s a snappy lil package. I’ll spend the next few days beating it up and I’ll post my detailed review.
Maybe I like it cause it’s pretty — or maybe I just like saying al-u-MIN-i-um, but I digress…
Averatec released the 13″ N3400 aluminum (al-u-min-i-um) clad laptop yesterday. Weighing in at less than 4lbs and with an MSRP of around $799 it’s not too shabby.
