Get your 3.4GHz goodness on.  Looks like the 965 stacks up pretty dang well against Intel’s Core i7 920, & has a much lower TCO to boot.  When the Core i5 models hit retail, I’d expect AMD to drop the 965 under $200, making it that much more appealing…  Read for yourself:
