Scott over at the TechReport has posted a very interesting tidbit from the rumor mill today. Apparently it's possible that nVidia's next generation of their SoundStorm audio processing suite may be behind the PS3's audio system... Interesting because nVidia has said in the past that they'd no plans to resurrect that platform...

"But right there among them is an arrow shooting out of the side of the NVIDIA-supplied RSX graphics processor with a label that will raise some eyebrows: '8 Ch. Audio'."
