Your home's windows as solar panels

XsunX has successfully made their first prototype thin-film solar cells on rolls of plastic film. What does this mean, exactly? Well, the idea is to apply this film to the glass that goes into windows, & voila, instant huge-area solar cell deployment. Cool.

"This technology is intended to allow manufacturers to apply a semi-transparent and photovoltaic film to glass and other transparent surfaces. When XsunX films are exposed to light, the light energy is converted into electrical energy for use as a power source."
