Now that NVIDIA owns ULi, there are apparently driver "patches" floating around that will let mobo's with the M1697 southbridge run SLi... Interesting...

"The driver detects if you are running a ULi based motherboard, and then patches the Detonator drivers into thinking SLI should work correctly. If a ULi chipset is not detected, the utility will quit out with the message 'ULi Chipset Not Found !!'"
