Government confiscates Google search records
Written by t-readyroc

Be careful what you search for on Google, apparently. The other thing to remember here is that Google is constantly reading your mail if you're using GMail, to suggest ads, etc, so I wonder where the confiscation would end? Legal? I dunno. I see where they're coming from with the whole child porn thing, but this kind of move just opens a whole can of worms that I certainly wouldn't want to be involved in if I were the government official doing the confiscations...

"The Bush administration on Wednesday asked a federal judge to order Google to turn over a broad range of material from its closely guarded databases."
