Patrick over at EETimes is getting antsy waiting for the IEEE task group to get its act together on 802.11n, & who can blame him? The pre-n stuff's been floating around for quite a while already, & I'd certainly welcome a jump like this protocol's going to offer...

"It's not that 802.11n has been slow; in fact, it has progressed remarkably fast — in standards time. However, according to Intel, Broadcom, Marvel, Atheros and others, that wasn't fast enough in light of customers' need to get standard silicon as early as this year."
