Looks like at least one company sees the worth in AGP versions of ATi's X1K line. GeCube will produce cards with both the X1300 & X1600 GPU's with the AGP interconnect. Card specs on this page as well.

"The availability of the GeCube Radeon X1300 AGP (GC-RX1300GA2-D3) is slated for the end of this month, whereas the GeCube Radeon X1600 AGP (GC-RX1600PGA2-D3) is scheduled to hit the market by the middle of January, 2006, according to the company."
