Today we'll be looking at Steelpad's Steel Sound 5H-USB headset. This headset has a couple of differentiating features: 1. its microphone is retractable, 2. you can break the
Steel Sound 5H-USB
headphones down for easy travel storage, & 3. it includes a USB-mount-able external, amplified sound chip. Yeah, that last one's important; because it literally changes this headset from just an "ok" product into something that I really, really enjoyed using.

Let's start out with some shots of the package. You get everything in a decent looking plastic box.

The package comes with everything you see here: the headset itself, the sound cable extension, the USB sound chip, a (mini) driver CD, & some rudimentary instructions. Instructions for installation were clear enough to follow... not much actual fiddling was needed during installation at all, but I'll get to that in a bit.
