Samsung unveils 8GB stick of DDR2

Holy crap that's a big stick of RAM. I can't even think of a platform that'd use multiple sticks of that stuff. Sure, boards like the Thunder K8QW can address 64GB of RAM, but it also sports four friggin Socket 940's... I'm sure there's something out there that'd use it, though, otherwise there wouldn't be a market for it.

"To build the 8GB memory module, reportedly the world’s densest of its kind ever for server computers, Samsung used a fully buffered dual in-line memory module (FB-DIMM) technology, a next-generation memory module standard, the company said in a statement."
