DigiTimes sits down with the CEO of Visionox, one of the biggest OLED tech companies & discusses the future of this emerging technology. They're optimistic, & see 2008 as the year for OLED's break into the large panel TV market. Tthe company plans to finish setting up three production lines by then.

"Mass production for the large-size OLED line is slated for after 2008. Major applications for the segment are notebooks, LCD monitors, and TVs. Compared to products with current display technologies, OLED delivers more advanced capabilities for slim-profile models, including faster response times, higher image resolutions, lower power consumption, and ultra-wide view angles."
