Blizzard's Battle.net lawsuit at PCMechanic

This is kind of related to what I saw happening to the Enemy Territory game as it was released: the community virtually took over the development of the game, & contributed so much input to the effort that the game evolved very quickly into what I see as the pinnacle of an online FPS. If game companies reject this sort of input to the point of legal action, one really has to wonder at their motives, & whether or not they truly value their customer base...

"I, for one, will not continue to use a product from a company if it has issues with it and the developers turn a blind eye to bugs and other issues (Please note that although this may appear to superficially describe Microsoft, it does not. So, those of you rearing to debate the MS argument; don't. That isn't the point of the issue here)."
