Opteron 1xx price hike

Interesting move by AMD. Justified? Not in my opinion, at least based on the reason that they're giving in regards to memory, anyway. Just because the price of one component of a particular platform decreases doesn't mean that the prices of other components in the system need to increase to make up for it...

"AMD yesterday raised the prices of its Opteron 1xx series by up to 91.6 per cent, saying the hikes were justified by the addition of support for cheap unbuffered ECC memory to the chips."
