Intel changes naming schemes again
Written by t-readyroc

The Inq's got the dirt on Intel's next naming scheme & the roadmap for its upcoming processors. Looks like they've gone from the hundreds; ie. 540, 840, to the thousands; 3000, 7000. Anybody else confused yet? Follow the link for four slides.

"The numbers, explained Alan Priestley, European enterprise manager, will be used to distinguish features between different server chips, and use the 9000, 7000 and 5000 sequence."
