If you were paying attention to the news yesterday, you'd have seen that Israeli PM Ariel Sharon had "announced" that Intel had chosen a site in Israel for the construction of its next chip plant. Well, it appears that Sharon may have spoken a day too soon...

"Yesterday we reported that Sharon had told hacks that he had personally spoken to retired Intel dude Craig Barrett. Sharon said Barrett told him that his company had chosen Kiryat Gatn for the site of its new chip plant. Now it transpires that Barrett might have gotten it all wrong. The very next day Chipzilla announced that it will be building the plant in Arizona."
