Page 8 of 8 Conclusion: Overall I found the MediaGear SongBank to be a pretty solid performer.  Thats not to say it's perfect, it does definitely have it's pros and cons.  If you're in the market for the hottest new thing that'll fit in your back pocket, this is not the right media player for you.  On the other hand, if you're on a budget and you don't mind a little bulk you may want to give this player a try.  At a street price of about $99 for the enclosure and an additional $70 for a hard drive, you're looking at a 40gig MP3 player for under $200.  Add the fact that you're also getting a rather nice removable storage device, FM Receiver and voice recorder, and it's really one hell of a bargain. Pros: Price - around $200 w/40gig of storage. Built in voice recorder and FM stereo. Uses common and rather inexpensive laptop hard drives. Cons: Size - this baby is bulky. Poor client software.
