Page 5 of 8 Hardware controls: The controls on the SongBank consist of 2 buttons and a 5 way joystick. I really can't say much about it - the menu buton works similarly to menu button on an iPod, taking you back one step until you reach the root menu.
The play/Pause button does just what it should - play and pause. The joystick on this media player works well, but sometimes a little too well. It's very easy to use it with your thumb, making it great for one handed operation, but I often find myself hitting by accident. The control lets you move up and down in menus, left and right when adjusting properties, and a press inwards makes a selection. Connections:
The connections on the SongBank are pretty much what you would expect. A standard "line-out" jack for headphones or speakers, a line in for mic. or other audio sources, dc power jack and standard USB 2 connection. |
