Some time back we posted an item about State Senator Andrea Stillman (D) pushing legislation that would make cell phone usage at the pump illegal.  Sen. Stillman stated  "It is a known, documented fact that using a cell phone in proximity of the gas pump can cause an electrical charge that can cause a fire that can ignite the pump". The BBC News reports of yet more research that puts this thinking into the "busted myth" catagory. Senator Stillman has not responded to multiple requests for comment.
