According to this press release, Tribes will see new life sometime in 2004. (Thanks to ShackNews for the heads up.) Of course, this preceeds a number of prior announcements of new Tribes games and addons, none of which have come to pass. (With the notable exception of "Tribes Fast Attack" for the Playstation 2.) In the end, I prefer to say "I'll believe it when I see it."

Even if a new Tribes comes to pass, as bad as Tribes 2 was we have to wonder if any new titles will regain the glory of the first Tribes. I wouldn't hold my breath . . .
