Well, maybe. That is, if this Texas corporation can make it work, you might be thinking twice before sticking your head around that corner. After registering with YouPlayGames, gamers can place wagers ranging from a few cents to a few dollars. Kill or injure an opponent and win that amount. Get killed or hurt and lose the cash. I can see where this might be a lot of fun, kind of like playing poker with the change from your piggybank. Play all night and win (or lose) $10 or so. But these guys are also proposing that you can set the amount at stake. Fffsssttt! That sniper's bullet just cost you $25. I don't think that I'd go for that. I'd rather have limits set pretty low so that teenagers don't spend their lunch money getting nailed in an ambush in Battlefield:1942. What do you think? Thanks to ipKonfig.com for the link. |
