And the Winners are . . .

Well, I wish a few more of you geeks had ponied up reviews, but here's the skinny on the Review Contest.

In total, we had SIX Qualified entries. (Those of you who were disqualified received messages from me explaining why.)

In SIXTH place, The Post Mortem PC Game Review, by Sean Aikins. Mr. Aikins takes away a Traveler CoolPad, donated by RoadTools.com.

In FIFTH place, Overclocking the Athlon XP 1700+, by William Vanderhoef. Mr. Vanderhoef walks away with a Traveler CoolPad, donated by RoadTools.com.

In FOURTH place is the Sapphire Technologies Radeon 9000 Pro 64MB DDR, by Hilton Poon, who scores himself a Podium CoolPad, donated by RoadTools.com.

Taking the THIRD position is the Apple iPod, by "Tinfoil," who grabs himself a Limited Edition CoolerMaster Aluminum Mousepad, donated by GeekExtreme, and an Applique from the Shattered Web.

Sliding into SECOND a hair in front of the iPod review and an iota in front of our first place winner is the Audigy 2 review, also by Mr. Aikins, who this time makes off with a Limited Edition CoolerMaster Aluminum Mousepad, donated by GeekExtreme, and an Applique from the Shattered Web.

Finally, we have our FIRST PLACE WINNER, who did a great review on the 3740 PocketPC by Toshiba. Mr. Edward Heshka will be fighting off all his geeky friends as he tries to get a Podium Coolpad, donated by RoadTools.com, a Limited Edition CoolerMaster Aluminum Mousepad, donated by GeekExtreme, and an Applique from the Shattered Web out of his bulging mailbox before they can toss him in a snowbank (or a lake, or whatever) and take all his nifty contest swag!

Contest winners have one week to contest us, or your swag will be donated to a worthy cause. In addition, those winning first through third place may contact us for details on the Reviewer/News Hound positions currently open on GE.

I think this little experiment has showed that, for all of you who've sat there reading GE and thought you'd like to do a review, the GE Community Review system works. Please feel free to submit reviews. GE can become a better community for it.
