Well, looks like the rumors that I posted Wednesday about the possibility of this sale are now official. AT&T has hired Merril Lynch and some lawyers to examine the offers, & it looks like there are plenty of them.

"According to media reports, Cingular Wireless, NTT DoCoMo Inc., Vodafone Group PLC, T-Mobile USA Inc. and Nextel Communications Inc. are all interested in buying AT&T Wireless."
