| Via, SiS to sample PCIX chipsets next month |

DigiTimes is reporting that two of the major motherboard chipset manufacturers will begin sampling chipsets sporting PCI Express next month. Via will sample its PT890, and SiS will sample the SiS656 chipsets next month. The PT890 will be an 800MHz FSB P4 chipset supporting dual-channel DDR400 DDRII. The SiS656 will also be a P4 chipset.
