Micron begins shipping DDR2

ZDNet is reporting that Micron announced today that it will begin shipping DDR2 in volume. Modules in sizes up to 4GB will begin shipping to "Intel, and several PC makers." Micron's announcement follows Samsung's announcement; made in March. Mike Sadler, vice present of Micron's worldwide sales hopes that this move will, "enable higher performance and lower power consumption in all the computer platforms next year."
