Lindows.Com released their second preview release of the Lindows OS. Lindows has gained notoriety in recent months not only because of their plans to build a hybrid Linux system that can run Windows applications, but because of the attention Microsoft has been "showering" on Lindows. By their own admission, Lindows OS isn't ready to be your complete and total desktop solution -- yet. You can help the development of the project by becoming a Lindows Insider ($99 per year.) which will give you access to the preview releases and more. This is one play I have a hard time approving of. Essentially, Lindows is asking you to pay to be a beta tester. What's with that? |
