No, it's not a type-o. Apparently a couple of REALLY board C64 hackers managed to throw together a couple of ethernet adapters for their Commodore 64 machines, and stuck one on the internet. Not only is it running TCP/IP stacks AND a web server, but they some how managed to shoehorn a RealAudio server onto it and is streaming audio from the C64's cassette drive, which I hear sounds TERRIBLE. If this excites you, they've posted the source code and some pics of the C64 server. I'm going to go laugh hysterically for a while now. |
