MS Small Business Server '03 install issues
Friday, 05 December 2003

The guy that I work for still swears by NT4, & honestly, we still haven't upgraded many of the NT machines for various reasons. Win2000 is a great OS, imo, & the boss-man is not averse to upgrading everything along the way. This kind of attitude, however, is what saves us from certain issues such as the ones that the Register is reporting.

"The problem (with failed SBS 2003 installations) is due to an error in the way certain dynamic-link libraries (DLLs) are validated. Currently, the installation process incorrectly interprets some DLLs as invalid, when in fact they are valid."

Seriously, is a completely new/re-packaged OS every 3 yrs really necessary? **cough, cough** kernel updates **cough, cough**
