R.I.P. Kazaa
Saturday, 11 January 2003

Well, ok, so it's not dead yet, but it's destined to go the way of Napster and all others who have come and been squashed by the RIAA's SWAT team of lawyers.  A U.S. District Judge in California has ruled that Sharman Networks, the creators of Kazaa, can be sued because millions of Californians have downloaded and are using Kazaa, even though the company is located in Australia.  Just goes to show no one is safe from the wrath of the RIAA.

Spyware software companies who supplied the software that helps power 99% of Kazaa found weeping uncontrollably.
