XDR stands for Extreme Data Rate, and this top performing ram promises speeds beginning at 3.2ghz, far beyond anything currently used today.
"TOKYO - Toshiba Corp. began producing sample memory chips based on Rambus Inc.'s next-generation XDR (extreme data rate) memory technology on Thursday, the Japanese company said the same day. " The sample ram has arrived ahead of schedule and Toshiba announced that the ram should be rolling off the assembly line during 2004. |
