Apparently Microsoft hasn't been as good with managing their money as most people thought, as the multi-billion dollar company has declared bankruptcy. Apparently those high costs lawyers defending them on antitrust charges and just about all their other legal woes have resulted in a serious drain on their finances. Neither Bill Gates, nor Steve Ballmer were available for comment.
