The ability to put Linux on the XBox may excite some, and confuse/sicken others, but to have a $199 Linux workstation might be kinda cool.  A group of progammers stretching from the US to the UK and Germany, have released a pre-alpha BIOS that, when complete, will allow you to take full control of the XBox hardware, thus allowing the Linux OS to boot.  I'm surprised Micro$oft hasn't tried to sue them.  Hell they sue anyone else who get's anywhere near their products with that "L" word.  You can read more about it here.
