It's about damn time someone decided to attempt a moon landing again (after all, wasn't the original a fake? ).  China has laid out a 3 step 5 year plan to get them there.  1) Get an astronaut into space.  2) setup a space labratory.  3) build a space station.  All of this leading to the eventual trip to the moon to set up a base to mine the moon's mineral riches "for the benefit of humanity".  If successful, China will join the elite ranks of the few counties who have managed to launch a person into space (the U.S. and the former Soviet Union being the only other ones).
