Just a reminder that I've set up a GeekExtreme.com Team (Team #3113) for Folding@Home, a distributed computing project put on by Stanford to help them research how proteins "fold", and how "misfolding" causes certain diseases like Alzheimer's, cystic fibrosis, CJD (Mad Cow disease), an inherited form of emphysema, and many cancers.  It's for a great cause and I urge you to download the client and donate some spare CPU cycles to the project.  I'm running it on my dual processor box at work (in order to use both processors you have to run it TWICE and set the processor affinity) and so far I haven't noticed any hit to system performance, and I need this thing to run good for video editing.  If you're a Windows NT/2K/XP user, download FireDaemon and you can set it up to run as a service, so you won't even see it's there.  I will post a quick tutorial shortly on how to set that up.

So far Headgeek is in the lead.  I'm slowly catching up (work computer had a hiccup this weekend).  If you think you've got enough computing horsepower to beat the Headgeek, join us!
