Gigacube 9600XT at Digital-Daily
Friday, 27 February 2004

The DD guys have a preview of the next vid-card offering from Gigacube up for a look today. Gigacube/Gecube/GeXcube is actually a subsidiary of Gigabyte, so you know the cards'll be solid. This 9600XT actually runs with 2.4ns (400MHz) Samsung chips, & the PCB is completely re-worked from the reference design. This thing was made to be a 5700Ultra-killer from the start.... but did it accomplish the task?

"The difference was such that it was hard to imagine a card on the base of RV360 can be created to approach the NV36. But GigaXcube did that. The card takes quite an honorable place in the common line thus shrinking the gap between the yesterday's high-end and today's mainstream."
