| Who exactly is to blame for nVidia's packaging SNAFU? |

| There's been plenty of stories floating around the web today about how nVidia's currently taking it up the pooper. The main reasons behind this are their decreased earnings forecast, and their admitting fault in a notebook GPU manufacturing mistake; leading to many expected recalls. EETimes digs a bit deeper into the story to ask, "who's exactly to blame here?" The chain of PR emails goes round and round: placing blame, shifting blame, accepting blame; you name it. My take is that both nVidia and TSMC are to blame on this one, which begs the question of why nVidia's taking it all upon themselves to correct it? I guess it all depends on how bad this news ends up hurting their bottom line - it could be a long way to go to do the "right" thing. |
