UPDATED: AMD: Kuma what?

AMDs Kuma plans have been scrapped, & they're planning to let that market segment sit until they can roll out 45nm parts. No more word on when that's due to happen, but they're apparently still "on track" with the Deneb FX chips...

"AMD originally planned to launch two 65nm dual-core Phenom processors codenamed Kuma for the desktop PC market in May or June this year, however the company has recently suspended the plans and will let its Athlon X2 5600B processor cover the market until the company enters 45nm production, according to sources at motherboard makers."

UPDATE: AMD has refuted the claims posted yesterday around the intarwebs regarding the two Kuma chips.  They are, in fact, on course for a 2H delivery, according to an AMD spokesman.  The "clarification," though, interestingly raises more questions:

AMD did not provide any actual details regarding release of the code-named Kuma chips, however, implied that instead of the originally planned AMD Phenom X2 brand-name, the chips will carry a different name.
